The award of Honours is available on the basis of distinguished achievement in ANS450 Animal Science Research Project, considered together with high achievement in four Part II Animal Science units.

An Honours qualification of 2A is normally required for admission to higher research degree study.

Merit Honours

Honours will be awarded on the basis of performance in the unit ANS450 Animal Science Research Project -- 12 pts. This will include the presentation of an introductory and final seminar, a written thesis and an oral thesis defence. In addition, the four Part II Animal Science units with the highest marks, excluding ANS450, will be used and will be worth 40 percent of the Honours grade. The final 60 percent will be the mark achieved in ANS450.

Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
The University reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any course, major, minor or unit if the number of students enrolled falls below limits set by the University.
