OnTrack is a twelve-week, on-campus, pre-university course designed to assist people from certain equity groups in their preparation for university.
The course consists of three modules which develop generic skills, knowledge and values required for successful university learning. The OnTrack course offers people the opportunity to become familiar with life on a university campus. Students who require support in English as a Second Language will receive additional tutoring.
Following successful completion of the course, participants may be offered a place in an undergraduate course at Murdoch University.
Admission Requirements: Onshore course offerings:
OnTrack is suitable for people from the following equity groups: people who can demonstrate educational disruption due to family, financial or social issues; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; people with disabilities or medical conditions; people living in rural or remote regions; and women wishing to study in one of the University's Engineering courses. The course also caters for people who have arrived in Australia under a Humanitarian or Refugee program. English competence is required.
In addition, the course offers an opportunity for Year 12 non-TEE students who have experienced disruption to their final year studies due to disability, medical condition or other significant family or social issues. Students in this category will require the support of their school teaching staff in order to apply.
