|Description||The Graduate Diploma in Engineering is intended for practising professionals who wish to update their existing qualifications and/or enhance their skills in the areas of process control, instrumentation and industrial computer systems engineering. |
The Graduate Diploma in Engineering offers study in instrumentation and control engineering.
|Admission Requirements: Onshore course offerings||Recognised Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) in a relevant area. Normally applicants will also possess an appropriate level of industrial experience. Applicants without the necessary qualifications and/or background will be required to study additional units as part of the course requirements. The preferred format to provide these details is by a Curriculum Vitae and a personal statement of no more than 300 words detailing why this course has been selected.
Equivalent of an Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0.
|Employment Prospects||Graduates can find employment in the following areas of manufacturing, medical, mining, processing energy supply, communications, electronics, computer systems and defence-related industries.|
|Professional Recognition||This course is designed to maintain and/or further the needs of Continuing Professional Education of Engineers in the areas of instrumentation and control and industrial computer systems engineering.|
|Internet Access Requirements||Murdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.|
