Description Accounting is an integral part of the management and governance of any enterprise. It acts as a decision-making aid by providing the information necessary for planning, control and performance evaluation. The stakeholders of an entity rely on the accounting information to assist in a variety of decisions including the acquisition or sale of shares, lending of funds and the provision of services or goods.
Admission Requirements: Onshore course offerings Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent training, or professional training. Students who have completed a degree with an accounting major from an Australian university will not be considered for admission.

English competence. Students demonstrating English competence via IELTS need an overall score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 6.0.
Course Learning Outcomes Graduates of the MPA will be able to:

Professional Accreditation CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). Students can satisfy entry requirements for admission to membership of the professional accounting bodies, including Associate membership of CPA Australia, and direct entry into the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand CA Programme. Students granted Advanced Standing must discuss their enrolment and selection of units with the Academic Chair as their Advanced Standing may affect their ability to satisfy the admission requirements to the professional accounting bodies on completion of their degree
Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
