Description Murdoch offers combined degrees which combine Law and another bachelor degree in an integrated course of study. This allows students seeking a Law degree to gain a range of opportunities for the study of disciplines other than Law which are greater than those for students within the Law degree studied on its own.

Murdoch offers a combined degree in Law and International Business in an integrated course of study. The combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Business allows students to study Law and Business units in a complementary fashion offering both depth and breadth, together with the opportunity to complete study overseas.
Admission Requirements: Onshore course offerings 90 ATAR or equivalent

English competence. International students demonstrating English competence via IELTS need a score of 6.5, with no individual band less than 6.5.
Special Requirements Students enrolled in Law and Business (LLB/BIB) (course code B1372) will be exempt from completing BSL165/BUS165 Foundations of Business Law.

Professional Recognition The Murdoch Bachelor of Laws satisfies the University education requirements for the practice of law of the governing bodies of the legal profession of Western Australia. As is the pattern in the rest of Australia, before a candidate may be admitted to the practice of law in this State, certain additional requirements must be satisfied after completion of this formal university training.
Professional Accreditation The Australian Legal Practice Board, plus the Ministry of Law in Singapore and the Malaysian and Indian Bar Council accredits the Murdoch LLB

Award of Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB(Hons)) Students must apply for entry into Honours immediately prior to commencing their final 24 points of study. The award of Honours is available on the basis of distinguished achievement in LLB580 Honours Thesis in Law, considered together with overall performance in LLB582 Legal Research Methods for Honours and two units from LAW452/LLB452 Corporations Law, LAW450/LLB450 Civil Procedure, LAW468/LLB468 Ethics and Professional Responsibility and LLB580 Honours Thesis in Law completed in the Honours year. Students must have achieved a specified WGPA in Murdoch Law units before they may be permitted to enrol in LAW480 LLB580 and enrol in the Honours award. Students should seek advice and further information from the Academic Chair for Law or the Law School Office.
Award with Distinction Graduation with Distinction or Higher Distinction is awarded on the basis of a high level of academic performance in Murdoch University Law units of Law + Business (Combined). The award with Distinction and High Distinction is not available to students who achieve Honours.
Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
