Description | The aim of Honours is to extend the student's grasp of the principles and practice of their subject, and to develop ability for independent research. An Honours qualification of 2A is normally required for admission to higher research degree study. |
Admission Requirements: Onshore course offerings | Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a Distinction average; subject to availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) of the School. Equivalent of an Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0. |

Internet Access Requirements | Murdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online. |
