Student Type: International Onshore - Undergraduate - commenced 2015 to 2017

Murdoch introduced unit-based fees for all International courses in 2014. Previously, an annual course fee was charged.  The Unit fees broadly reflect the cost of teaching the area, and the potential earnings of graduates.

The fees are to be paid by the Friday before the start of semester/trimester. Where a student does not make payment by this time the enrolment cancellation process is commenced. Students then have 20 working days to arrange for payment to be received by Murdoch, or arrange an acceptable payment plan. Cancellation of enrolment does involve cancellation of the Confirmation of Enrolment (COE), and subsequently cancellation of the Student Visa for students who entered Australia on that basis.

Guidelines for determining this category of Murdoch student

The following guidelines have been established to determine which students are to be included in this category:

  • The student commences their course, or their major if changing primary majors within a course, after 1 November 2014.
  • If the student is commencing an Honours course after completing an ordinary Bachelor’s course at Murdoch, they were regarded as commencing in 2015 or later in the ordinary Bachelor’s course.
