Special requirements The Indonesian Minor is open to beginners as well as those with language competency based on previous study. Students with previous Indonesian language study will be granted exemption (preclusion) from lower level language units and will be placed at the level of study appropriate to their level of competency.

Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
Description Indonesia is a dynamic and rapidly industrialising country of tremendous cultural, economic and political importance to Australia. The Indonesian minor, which is available for beginners and those with some knowledge of the language, consists of interactive Indonesian language study including speaking, listening, reading, writing and cultural understanding.
Other Information Students with pre-existing language qualifications may enter the Minor at a higher level and credit up to 12 points from upper level units available in the Indonesian Major with approval of the Academic Chair.

Students may apply to the Academic Chair to credit up to 12 points from:

IND443 Semester in Indonesia - 12 points
