Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
Description The Professional Accounting minor is designed for students who are taking the
Accounting major and want to be a member of the professional accounting bodies,
including Associate membership of CPA Australia, direct entry into the Chartered
Accountants of Australia and New Zealand Programme and Associate membership
of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). The Professional Accounting minor
covers the Accounting fields of Taxation and Auditing, as well as the related fields of
financial management and business law. Students who graduate with an
Accounting major and Professional Accounting minor can gain employment with
professional accounting firms (working with clients in areas such as audit, taxation,
and business services), in government, in other private sector firms, and in not-forprofit
