Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
Description Tourism is a global phenomenon with over 2 billion international travellers each year. Tourism as an area of study adds value to a myriad of career choices. This minor aids you in understanding where your career paths cross over with tourism. Are you working across borders and travelling for business? Are you seeking to conserve an area? Are you seeking opportunities to develop your community? This Minor talks to you about those issues and more. You will obtain a sense of where tourism fits within your endeavours, we also discuss how you may become a better tourist.
