Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
Description Event Management is part of many areas of endeavour. This is a minor that can contribute to many areas of study. From events in the natural environment to organising business events. This minor can help you to understand the importance of events in terms of the wider communities within which you will work. The uniqueness of this minor is that it is developed within the framework of tourism for sustainable development. Graduates of this minor will enter the workforce with knowledge of the wider tourism system, policy issues relating to events, and a wide understanding of the nature of socio/cultural, environmental and economic impacts of events.
