Murdoch University offers on-campus accommodation at Murdoch University Village, and off-campus housing through an Off-Campus Housing Service.
Murdoch University Village is located on the western end of the Murdoch campus and provides accommodation for over 530 residents in 97 self-contained flats. Flats range in size from three to eight study/bedrooms. Due to overwhelming demand, Murdoch University Village will also be opening almost 300 brand new rooms in time for Semester 1, 2009 bringing the total rooms available to 834. A range of modern one-, two- and five-bedroom apartments will be available, with private rooms, kitchens and lounge areas. All new and existing flats are furnished, however, residents are expected to provide their own bed linen and crockery that can be purchased from the Village on arrival. Half of the accommodation is reserved for first-year students from WA, interstate or overseas and the other half for returning students. Applications are accepted online. A range of accommodation suitable for students with disabilities is provided.
Village facilities include a computer laboratory, a tutorial/study room, a recreation room (with Foxtel and a pool table), beach volleyball and basketball courts, a seminar room, and a brand new swimming pool to be completed for Semester 1, 2009. All bedrooms have IT connections, a study desk and wardrobe. Four self-contained two-bed serviced flats are available for short-term rental by visitors to the University. Summer accommodation is also available for both students and visitors during the summer break (December to February).
Student Life is an integral part of the Murdoch University Village experience. Our Resident Assistant team organises regular cultural and social events throughout the year, such as themed parties, barbecues, international nights and sporting competitions.
The Murdoch University Village web site provides more details, including online applications and images of accommodation.

The off-campus housing service will provide assistance in matching the needs of students to a comprehensive list of private accommodation, shortly after students’ arrival in Perth.
Arrangements can be made for applicants to view accommodation, usually up to three properties, selected on the basis of information that applicants provide after their arrival. It is likely that suitable accommodation can be located within five days of students’ arrival in Perth.
