Description: 

This unit introduces students to the development and lifetime adaptation of the motor system from birth through adulthood. It will provide an understanding of movement control, movement learning, movement development and movement disorders. This unit will involve theory based presentations and practical lab demonstrations.

Contact time: 

Lectures: 4 hours per week; laboratories: 4 hours per week.

Prerequisites: 

CHI108 Functional Human Anatomy AND CHI124 Principles of Sports Science.
