Description: 

Focuses on collection of patient data necessary to develop and implement a physical rehabilitation program to complement or succeed the initial treatment plan. Builds on the development of competencies in performing physical examination procedures for purposes of differential diagnosis. Refines physical examination and implements functional examination skills for assessing the neuromusculoskeletal systems and also introduces procedures for examining fitness parameters.

Contact time: 

Lectures: 2 hours per week; laboratories: 2 hours per week.

Prerequisites: 

Enrolment in BSc/BChiro and successful completion of BSc(Chiro), or enrolment in Bachelor of Sports Science or enrolment in the BEd (Sec)/Sport Science or permission of the Academic Chair.

Exclusions: 

Students who have successfully completed CHI411 Primary Practice II: Physical Rehabilitation cannot enrol in this unit for credit.
