Description: |
This unit is concerned with the health of the community as a whole. It will review the main determinants of mortality and morbidity internationally but with emphasis on Australia. Public Health also reviews community groups and special populations. Scenarios and problem solving derived from larger populations will form an important component of this unit and students will work in small groups to prepare discussion cases. Interdisciplinary practitioners with experience in the area of specialty will also present. |

Prerequisites: |
Enrolment in BSc Exercise Physiology OR Enrolment in BSc/BChiropractic and the successful completion of Years 1 to 4, OR by special application to the Unit Coordinator. |

Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.
Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
