Description: 

This unit aims to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge to develop and enhance their leadership skills. By the completion of this unit students will have explored various issues in leadership, management and communication; had the opportunity to learn leadership skills and gain practical experience in applying these skills; and within a peer environment, had the opportunity of reflecting upon experience in a leadership role.

Contact time: 

Fulltime intensive unit combining lectures, group work and practical exercises. Each evening there will be research/assessment tasks which may include group work.

Prerequisites: 

Nil.

Exclusions: 

Students who have successfully completed Special Topic in Arts: Leadership Development may not enrol in this unit for credit.

Notes: 

The unit is offered (fulltime) from 18 January to 24 January 2010.

Quota: 

This unit is subject to quota. Quota may apply, depending on room allocation.
