Description: |
A full-time work experience internship providing appropriate professional experience in the student's discipline area. This unit provides exposure to industrial engineering projects and involves elements of specification, design, implementation, testing, documentation, demonstration and presentation. The unit brings together all aspects of the student's knowledge, training and skills. Students will prepare a project report, deliver seminars describing the project, and attend meetings with academic and industry supervisors as required. |

Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.
Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
The University reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any course, major, minor or unit if the number of students enrolled falls below limits set by the University.
