Description: 

This unit is a continuation of IND161 Indonesian IA. The emphasis is wholly on conversation, with reading and writing skills based on conversational materials.

Contact time: 

Lectures and tutorials/language workshops: 3 hours per week. (hours may be adapted to class size).

Prerequisites: 

IND161 Indonesian IA.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

Exclusions: 

Students from countries where Indonesian or Malay is a partial or complete medium of instruction in the educational system, or native speakers of the language, or who have studied Indonesian at year 11 or above, may not enrol in this unit for credit. Students who have previously studied Indonesian may enter directly into IND261 Indonesian IIA, IND262 Indonesian IIB, IND361 Indonesian IIIA or IND362 Indonesian IIIB on the basis of assessment by the Unit Coordinator.
