Description:	The focus of this capstone accounting unit are the theories that frame contemporary accounting issues, accounting standards and accounting concepts. Topics include governance and ethics; social responsibilities, accountability, triple bottom line, the significance of understanding user needs and the impediments to financial reporting.
Contact time:	Lectures/seminars/workshops: 3 hours per week.
Prerequisites:	MBS513 Accounting for Managers.

Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.

Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
