Description:	This unit is designed to foster knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles and practices of continuous improvement in a range of health care settings. Participants will develop an understanding of creative, effective and practical approaches to quality and safety and evidence-based strategies for decision-making and apply this in the workplace.
Contact time:	Lectures: 2 hours per week; tutorials: 2 hours per week.
Prerequisites:	Nil. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
Used in these Courses:	Postgraduate Certificate in Health Management, Quality and Leadership Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing Master of Advanced Nursing

Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.

Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
The University reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any course, major, minor or unit if the number of students enrolled falls below limits set by the University.
