Description: |
Advanced practitioner skills required for nursing assessment and intervention. Students will negotiate for one or more specialties of their choice in order to practice and self-evaluate their advanced nursing skills. Compare and contrast theories in nursing treatment and management and determine how these are best facilitated by advanced nurses. Critically examine contemporary and past nursing practice with a view to applying best practice. |

Negotiated supernumerary practica: 1 day per week; two block practica of 5 days each to a total of 36 days; scheduled clinical practice workshops and reflective tutorials: 2 hours per week. |
