Provides theoretical and practical knowledge to enhance students' career development and their transition to the culture of the workplace. As members of the local and global community, students are introduced to how large and small organisations recruit, select and retain personnel. Examine relevant concepts and workplace policies and practices, including significant industry input. The practical component complements the theoretical, develops skills and confidence to enhance employment prospects, and provides strategies for utilising the knowledge and skills gained at university. |
Contact time: |
Lectures: 1 hour per week; workshops/tutorials: 2 hours per week. Workshops and projects will be discipline-oriented. |
Prerequisites: |
Nil. Preference for enrolment will be given to undergraduate students who have indicated their intention to graduate in the current year. |

Students who have successfully completed a unit may not enrol for credit in any subsequent version of that unit, even if under a different code and/or title, nor in any parallel lower- or higher-level version. Students enrolled in a higher-level version of a unit are required to demonstrate advanced analytical skills and/or use of advanced research tools in assignments modified for that level.
Cancellation of Courses, Minors and Units
The University reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any course, major, minor or unit if the number of students enrolled falls below limits set by the University.
