Description: |
This is a practical, project-based unit which provides students the opportunity to network with organisations and individuals in the field of environmental education for sustainability. It introduces students to the principles of environmental education for sustainability using local environmental issues as illustrations. It provides students with information and first hand experience of the many environmental programs and resources available in Western Australia, and addresses the links between these environmental opportunities and curricula development at all levels. |
Contact time: |
Two intensive weekends (Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon) near the start and middle of the semester and one half-day on a weekend near the end of the semester. Students will work on individual projects during semester. |
