Description: |
This unit explores environmental policy-making and implementation, particularly the influence of science. The focus is on developing policy relevant to the 21st century by recognising the demands and opportunities provided by this century. Environmental policy in Australia provides the core of the unit, however, attention is also given to policy-making elsewhere. Selected policy domains, such as biological diversity, will be explored in detail. This unit provides insights into policies as an integral part of solutions to environmental problems. |
