Description: 

This unit involves students in an advanced, supervised investigation of a selected environmental science area and is designed to complete the requirements for the Master of Science (Environmental Science). Projects may range from substantial reading programs to small research projects. Project topics, applied in nature, will be chosen in consultation with the Unit Coordinator and proposed supervisor. Students are encouraged to take the unit over two semesters.

Contact time: 

Tutorials: 6 hours per semester.

Prerequisites: 

Enrolment in MSc (Environmental Science), or other Masters courses with permission of the MSc (Environmental Science) Program Chair. Recommended: Completion of or concurrent enrolment in ENV523 Environmental Science Research Methods or completion of ENV423 Environmental Science Research Methods.

Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
