This unit addresses issues in the design of electronic games software including elements of games creation, gameplay and game concepts. The foundation material is complemented by exposure to issues associated with the creation of interactive media. Topics include design process, creative play, player motivation, environment and interface design, game-balancing, character design and design documentation. |
