Description: 

This unit considers large-scale application development in the commercial setting. It develops competence in modern commercial programming and maintenance techniques using Oracle Developer. It examines programming principles, structured design, algorithms for business applications, and database processing within the mainframe and client server environments.

Contact time: 

Lectures and practice sessions: up to 5 hours per week.

Prerequisites: 

B218/ICT218 Databases and B102/ICT102 Introduction to Computer Science.

Exclusions: 

Students who have successfully completed B335 Commercial Application Development may not enrol in this unit for credit.
