Description: |
This unit includes the second part of the Cisco CCNA Certification curriculum, commenced in ICT546. Students extend their study of LAN architectures and examine LAN security with the use of 'firewalls'. Frame relay and ISDN architectures are used to study Wide Area Networks (WAN); and extensive practical exercises are used to reinforce the understanding of these technologies. Voice Over IP (VOIP) will be examined with regards to data networks. A major design case study incorporating LAN and WAN is completed. |
