Description: |
This unit requires the substantial investigation of a topic in the field of conservation medicine. Students may undertake a placement with a conservation project in Australia or overseas as a component of this unit, in which case the project will focus on a topic related to the placement. |

Prerequisites: |
Enrolment in Master of Veterinary Studies in Conservation Medicine, Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Conservation Medicine or permission of the Program Chair. This unit must not be taken prior to VET631 Wildlife Medicine and VET630 Conservation Medicine, but may be taken in conjunction with one of these units with permission of the Program Chair. |
Notes: |
Students wishing to undertake a placement or to enrol in the 6- or 8-point options of this unit need to contact the Unit Coordinator prior to enrolment. The 6- or 8-point project options are only available to students undertaking the Master of Veterinary Studies in Conservation Medicine. The project will be supervised by a member of academic staff and will normally be 5000 words in length for a 4-point project, 8000 words (6 points), and 10,000 words (8 points), completed in accordance with University requirements. Placements will normally involve a supervisor from within the placement and from Murdoch staff, and students will be assessed by both supervisors. |
