Description: 

This unit will provide students with the knowledge about endemic and epidemic diseases that have a significant impact on livestock production. Both infectious and non-infectious diseases will be discussed and emphasis will be placed on those diseases with significant impact on trade, herd/flock productivity and human health.

Contact time: 

Lectures, workshops and seminars as required.

Prerequisites: 

Enrolment in MVS (Veterinary Surveillance) or permission of the Program Chair.

Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
