LANTITE - Numeracy (EDN299)

Description This non-taught zero point unit will be utilised to record the results of the Numeracy component of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE). Successful completion of the Literacy Test and the Numeracy Test, which are administered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), are requirements for graduation from an initial teacher education course.

Assessment Assessment is conducted by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) and outcomes are reported to the University.
Prerequisites Nil.
Notes You do not need to enrol in this unit. Once students have sat their Numeracy Test ACER will forward your results to the University and we will record your result. If you are not successful in your first attempt at the test a result of NA (Not Available) will be recorded against your enrolment until you have passed the unit (do not withdraw from the unit if you have not passed the test).

Assessment A result of Ungraded Pass or Fail is awarded for this unit.

Internet Access RequirementsMurdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
