Unit Learning Outcomes On successful completion of the unit participants will be able to:
1. Construct, present and reflect on a professional portfolio that documents their professional learning;
2. Explore and critique the use of portfolios for documenting professional learning; and
3. Generate new ways of enacting international and national standards, criteria and domains to enhance your professional practice.
Timetabled Learning Activities Lectures and discussion (internal) over the semester.
Unit Learning Experiences The approach to learning in this unit is based on self-directed learning. It is expected that you will complete the readings for the five topics, participate in on line discussions and respond to the questions that are part of each topic. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.
