Description | This unit introduces students to the profession of teaching. It commences by looking at the self as a learner/teacher and examines the impact this may have on the role of an educator. The unit enables students to appreciate the diverse roles and responsibilities of the teacher, to understand students as individuals and groups, and to develop a critical awareness of the function of schooling in Australia.
