|Description||This unit builds on the work undertaken in CRE311 to complete an individual or group-based production This unit requires creative thinking, problem-solving and communication skills which are applied in a project-based learning environment to work toward the production of a creative piece of work. It will encourage you to question, listen and act ethically; tolerate ambiguity, embrace openness, curiosity and intellectual risk-taking; to make connections within and between disciplines; and to work collaboratively.|
|Unit Learning Outcomes||ULO1 Demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical perspectives and methods of enquiry in Creative Media.
ULO2 Demonstrate effective written and oral communication with different audiences, producing creative work consistent with the contemporary norms and standards of a discipline or its related industries
CLO3 Gather, synthesise and critically evaluate creative content, ideas, and information.
ULO4 Employ a variety of strategies and methods for research and practice appropriate to the discipline and related industries

|Timetabled Learning Activities||Tutorials: 2.5 hours per week.|
|Unit Learning Experiences||Students will work individually or in groups on a project to a specific project brief. In order to fulfil the requirements of the brief a solid grasp of the theoretical and practical issues that it brings are required.
Creative Media Projects 2 groups may be discipline based or cross several disciplines.
|Assessment||Assessment in this unit is based on a group project which builds on the preliminary research and industry-focused work completed in Creative Media Project 1. While the production-based research and practice required for the development of a creative solution to real problems is the principal goal, the collaborative group work is also assessed, along with a final reflective report on the on completion and submission of the finished artefact.|

|Internet Access Requirements||Murdoch units normally include an online component comprising materials, discussions, lecture recordings and assessment activities. All students, regardless of their location or mode of study, need to have access to and be able to use computing devices with browsing capability and a connection to the Internet via Broadband (Cable, ADSL or Mobile) or Wireless. The Internet connection should be readily available and allow large amounts of data to be streamed or downloaded (approximately 100MB per lecture recording). Students also need to be able to enter into online discussions and submit assignments online.|
