Learning outcomes

1.

Demonstrate familiarity with and critical and applied skills in relation to the production and performance of a range of dramatic, theatrical and performative texts.

2.

Demonstrate an understanding of the ways that dramatic, theatrical and performance texts function aesthetically, socially and politically in everyday life.

3.

Draw on the techniques and skills derived from engagement with dramatic, theatrical and performance texts to respond critically and creatively to philosophical, social and ethical issues.

4.

Develop skills in the use of contemporary theatrical technologies and production systems.

5.

Create dramatic and theatrical texts/productions in a genre, mode and style to communicate effectively with readers and/or audiences across cultural boundaries.

6.

Develop acting, designing, directing dramaturgical and/or writing skills across a range of performative works and cultural contexts.

7.

Develop skills in the generation and devising of original and innovative new theatre and performance texts.
