Australian Indigenous Studies is a dynamic, exciting field of enquiry. This minor explores the resilience of Australian Indigenous peoples - their contemporary cultural expression, life experiences, and aspirations. Students critically engage with and apply a range of theories related to national identity and Indigeneity, decolonisation, and social justice. Upon completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to be effective agents of social change. Students who complete this minor may also have the opportunity to complete a work-integrated learning experience in an Indigenous-focused workplace.
