Overview

Esports is a rapidly growing industry.  This minor will allow to you to investigate the games industry and esports in particular, as well as communication strategies or event management.  The minor will culminate in a real world experience through the undertaking of a project related to esports.

Describe the influence of esports and digital games more broadly on contemporary culture, and how games are positioned within the media environment more broadly.

Critically analyse game design, game practices and playful media produsage in terms of their cultural and creative effects.

Exercise critical thinking and professional judgement to plan and enact a real-world learning experience in an esports context
