Learning outcomes

1.

Provide a rationale for the provision of quality Health programs in schools.

2.

Demonstrate and apply knowledge of secondary school students and how they learn through Western Australian School and Curriculum Standards Authority (WASCSA) Health specific lesson planning, resource design and enactment of teaching.

3.

Apply quality teaching principles consistent with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Graduate Standards, differentiated reproductive and productive teaching strategies and resources that cater for student diversity.

4.

Demonstrate knowledge of assessment and reporting strategies, a comprehensive feedback repertoire and school-based reporting of student learning in assignment tasks, lesson planning and enactment of teaching.

5.

Engage professionally with colleagues, teachers, parents/carers and the community that can assist in planning and implementing effective teaching and learning in the Health context.
