Learning outcomes

1.

Analyse professional knowledge and practices relevant to primary children’s physical, cultural, social, linguistic and intellectual characteristics and their learning and incorporate this knowledge in teaching of Mathematics and English.  

2.

Apply appropriate curriculum content knowledge, pedagogy and assessment practices to design lessons which meet the needs of a diverse range of classroom learners in Years 1-6 using the SCSA English and Mathematics curriculum

3.

Justify strategies used in creating and maintaining engaging, supportive and safe learning environments to support inclusive student participation in primary schools.

4.

Identify and comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements of the teaching profession in primary schools.
