Undertake an in-school student diagnostic and analyse data to create effective learning experiences
Create a sequence of lesson plans in a selected topic and be able to communicate how it was effectively taught to the students
Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments
Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
Diagnose their own weaknesses in teaching and participate in professional learning to improve, and then apply their new learning in their teaching practices

Eight topics will be covered in four workshops prior to Final Professional Experience (FPE)
- Introduction & Personal Teaching Statement
- Professional Practice & Planning for Teaching and Learning
- Demonstration of Impact & Oral Presentation
- Component B Practice and Component C Practice
The QTPA comprises four elements
Due one week after Final Professional Experience
Component A: A Personal Teaching Statement
Component B: Planning for Teaching and Learning
Component C: Demonstration of Impact
Component D: Oral Presentation (Written Documentation)
The Oral Presentation will be schedules within a one-week block directly after submission of your written components.
Component D: Oral Presentation
Final Professional Experience (FPE) and Quality Teaching Performance Assessment (QTPA) must be the final two units completed in the Initial Teacher Education Course in which a student is enrolled.
Students will not be assessed on any QTPA component unless they have successfully completed their Final Professional Experience unit and submitted their FPE Evaluation Form.
Students who have not passed FPE will not be able to undertake the final assessment of QTPA.
