Learning outcomes

Communicate the topics that are intimately related to Years 7-10 mathematics curriculum using university-level mathematical tools.

2.

Solve a variety of mathematical problems related to the concepts and techniques in dealing with Measurement of area and volumes of geometric objects, Trigonometry, Probability and Data Analysis.

3.

Develop skills that are crucial for effective teaching including constructing mathematical explanation and arguments, drawing diagrams to illustrate given information, creating examples and counterexamples, and using multiple representations of mathematical ideas

4.

Access, evaluate and use resources, including appropriate technologies, for teaching and learning secondary school mathematics.

Measurement - Area and volume; Trigonometry; Basic Probability; Introduction to data analysis; Random variables; Distribution to random variables - normal distribution, geometric and binomial distribution; Foundations for inference -  categorical and numerical; Introduction to linear regression.
