Learning outcomes

Demonstrate an advanced understanding of common bacterial and fungal infections and their causative agents. 

2.

Interpret the virulence and antimicrobial resitance pathways that contribute to bacterial and fungal pathogenesis.

3.

Implement laboratory tests used to identify and characterise clinically important bacterial and fungal pathogens.

4.

Execute an individual project to determine the identify of an unknown pathogen.
