Learning outcomes

1.

Establish and apply a minimum level of knowledge to be successful in equine clinical practice.

2.

Demonstrate a Day one level of competency in physical examination, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, animal handling in horses.

3.

Select and justify appropriate diagnostic tests in order to rule in/out differential diagnoses, demonstrating progression towards case management, evidence-based practice and emergency triage

4.

Assimilate and interpret information from an animal's signalment, history, clinical examination and diagnostic tests to solve a clinical problem

5.

Effectively communicate veterinary knowledge and justification for clinical decisions
