Unit content:

Introduction to Foresight our framework. The Unit takes students through the six steps of Foresight, Framing / Scoping and assumptions, Scanning using the STEEP (society, technology, economy, environment, politics) method. Scanning skills are tested and presented. Understanding Baseline Forecasting / Alternative Forecasts. Visualising the future is key in foresight, images of the future are used to encourage new ways of thinking. Students will be using exercises to understand fears of the future and how to move from fear to vision. Visioning the future and moving from visioning to doing. Implementing change, through creating your individual 10-year plan for your future.
