Learning outcomes

Students will demonstrate a broad and coherent understanding of the theoretical perspectives and methods of enquiry within sustainable development.

Unit content:

This unit starts with planetary boundaries as a guiding framework to understand carrying capacity and sustainability. We move on to the Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for the 2030 development agenda. An enquiry-based approach will be taken to the key issues of climate change and food security and their interrelatedness.
