Additional information

Unit content:Theory and practical components relating to: the human body plan; cells and tissues; the following body systems: integument, skeletal, muscular, respiratory, cardiovascular, reproductive, digestive, nervous, lymphatic, endocrine and urinary; human evolution; ageing and death. The approach to learning in this unit is a mix between structured (lectures) and semi-structured/self-directed (practicals). Practical classes are designed to reinforce what is learnt in the lectures allowing students’ to put their knowledge into practice.
