Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), OR who have successfully completed BSL209/BUS209 Marketing and Advertising Law may not enrol in this unit for credit.
Successful completion of BSL165 Foundations of Business Law / BUS165 Principles of Commercial Law

Learning outcomes
1.
Identify key legal issues relevant to the areas of Marketing and Advertising that are seen to arise within business settings.
2.
Apply relevant rules of law from various legal areas relevant to Marketing and Advertising that include Intellectual Property Law and the Australian Consumer Law to various factual and real world scenarios forming well-reasoned conclusions and thereby resolving legal issues and solving potential problems.
3.
Develop and demonstrate independent research, critical analysis and creative skills in key topical areas of marketing and advertising.
4.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form utilising language that is coherent and concise.
