Learning outcomes

Be able to find and interpret regulatory data sources in order to determine approved analytical methods and regulatory guidelines for environmental forensics applications.

Be able to recommend a sampling regime and sample preparation methodology that is appropriate for the chemical analysis for an sample in an environmental forensics context.

3.

Be able to undertake a chemical analysis in a environmental forensics context that may include both a presumptive and confirmatory analysis technique

4.

Be able to communicate the context, methodology, results and interpretation of a chemical analysis in a forensic science context.

5.

Be able to use suitable computer based simulation or calculation tools to model a modification to an instrument based chemical analysis and test that experimentally
