Learning outcomes

Become familiar with performing material and energy balance analysis for common processes such as heat exchanger, evaporator and distillation columns;
2.
Understand fluid flow theory and sizing of pumps and control valves;
3.
Understand heat transfer theory and sizing of heat exchangers and evaporators;
4.
Understand mass transfer theory and sizing of distillation columns;
5.
Become familiar with using the software package ASPEN to solve engineering problems.
