Students who have completed MBS513/MBS5132/MBS539 Accounting for Managers may not enrol in MBS5392 Accounting for Managers for credit.
Enrolment in C1083 Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (MasterClass) or C1115 Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (MasterClass).

Learning outcomes

1.
Demonstrate understanding of the accounting environment and the role of accounting information in management planning and decision making, by people both internal and external to the business;

Demonstrate a critical awareness of the ethics required of professional accountants.
3.
Apply appropriate accounting concepts to analyse and record business transactions in managing and reporting business working capital.
4.
Prepare financial statements and demonstrate the relationships of these statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement and statement of changes in equity and the Statement of Cash Flows.
5.
Apply tools to analyse and interpret financial statements as well as understanding the issues facing the readers of financial statements.
6.
Identify and apply the costs and revenues relevant to business decision making and the role of accounting in sustainable business.
7.
Explain enterprise governance and business sustainability and be aware of the current developments in this area in Australia.
8.
Demonstrate the ability to working effectively in a team to achieve a shared objective.
